Cotton bolls popped

Yesterday morning, our school guard sent me a message and a photo, telling me that another cotton boll was popping open.

Since the second dose of vaccination, I was then staying at home and never returned to school to visit the cotton plants. During this period, the cotton bolls were popping one after one.

The purpose of growing cotton plants was to open up the eyes of the children and to let them witness the growing process of the cotton plants. Thanks to Jeremy from 3K for providing me cotton seeds, but the cat in the school compound got into the big flowerpots, slept in it and crushed the seedlings to death twice. After that, my colleague Mdm Yeo brought me some more seeds, and the school guard once again helped to plant the seeds and took good care of them so that the cat would not destroy them. In the end, both cotton plants had grown up, but unfortunately the school had been closed before they bloomed and bore fruit!

Back at school, I was really joyful when I saw the popped cotton bolls! From the sowing to the popping of the cotton bolls, instead of the children, I had actually opened my own eyes! If it hadn't been wet by the rain, the popped cotton would have looked like white, soft and attractive cotton candy! Thanks to the school guard for taking good care of the cotton plants! Thankful to the nature world for granting such beautiful resources to mankind!
